Are they still selling it? Its a game I've always wanted but haven't bought before due to lack of CD Rom. Where did you get it, and how much from?

You can buy it very easily. Amazon sell it
It's next to impossible though.
I thought Riven (Myst II) was hard until I -played Starship Titanic.
I bought it when DNA died and I'm currently about half way through (ish) having had serious help from various hint sites on the net.
I find it hard ot imagine how someone could complete it without hints.
You'll see

Luckily I have a friend who was Starship Titanic mad and knows every inch of the game.
I don't believe in playing games without hints to fall back on in dire emergencies - it spoils the game play if you give up on playing a game out of frustration.

I must admit I had no idea what i was doing (I spent about a week wondering round) until I got a walkthrough.

What annoyed me about it was that *even when you knew what to do* it was still very frustrating and difficult.
The bit with the parrot being of particular annoyance value
Worth it though - it *is* fun. Don't want to diss it too much.

Ask the receptionist for gossip that's quite funny.
For example, when she says "I could sat more, but I shouldn't"
You reply "Say more" or "You should"

I checked at the local Game, and I plan to get it there as soon as I get paid. I assume its the version with instructions?

I think the point of it is that you get no instructions...
Mine is the official version I bought it off Amazon. The instructions are very very short and basically are point mouse and click and show you how the menu system works.
