Just finished listening to HP and the Goblet of Fire on audio book... tis really a very good story... quite scary in places... not sure how (if) they will manage to condense it down to a watchable film length... hmmm... will have to wait and see on that one...

Er - hi Johanna! This thread's gone a bit quiet I'm afraid. Maybe I should do another competition but I can't think of a suitable movie-related challenge to pose people. Never mind. How's things with you?

movie related challenges Awix:

rename all the starwars movies with more appropriate titles.

write lyrics to the theme tunes of the startrek franchises, including enterprise if you know the tune well enough.

if all the characters from a scifi show (i.e. startrek/red dwarf/ buffy etc.) had to be recast and played by actors and actresses of the oposite sex, who would you chose for what roll and why........has this one been asked already? seems worryingly familiar.

Hmmm, I did consider doing a review of the pilot of Enterprise (it's a TV *movie*, after all) but everyone who'd be interested seems already to have seen it. So - seeing as I'd like the challenges to be topical or at least relevant to that week's review - I could have done the Trek lyrics one then.

Did you know the original Trek theme had lyrics written for it by Gene Roddenberry? Not because he had any intention of using them, it's just that a contractual loophole meant that he could then claim half the royalties, even from the instrumental version. What a nice man.

The recasting thing seems familiar... I read a thing recently discussing how all the Harry Potter movies could be cast solely using the regular performers from Doctor Who. Very odd.

cool, must have missed that one though. i still cant remember what i was thinking of, but nothing new there.
