A Conversation for Talking Point: Up Your Street

We moved into Blewbury when I was about four, into the new estate (as it was back then). We lived in the first house for about four years, and then moved a few doors down to a slightly bigger house down the end of a cul-de-sac.

I don't really remember the first house, but I do remember the big Horse Chestnut and dad teaching me to ride my bicycle. In the second house we used to live next door to some other young families, and we used to spend as much time as we could skipping, riding our bikes, playing fumball and what-have-you. I was the oldest of the group, and I kept on playing with them until I left for Uni (as long as I'd done my homework and clarinet practice first!).
