they did say, that they had to re-film some of the end a while ago so that CEs leaving could be accounted for... as well as filming the fake endings as well of course!smiley - biggrin

I still don't but the 'filming a fake ending' thing.

And for once in my life I actually wish I wasn't readinga spoiler thread- it would've been nice not to know that DT was popping up in this episode. I wonder, is it going to be a genuine regeneration scene, or are we going to see him in a flash-forward, or him coming back to meet the ninth Doctor and Rose?

And Jimster/Paully, you never did say what you thought of my bad wolf theory...

The Grauniad says 'regeneration'.

If that is the case (and I don't buy the fake ending or the re-filming either), I think the BBC deserve a huge round of applause for running one of the most successful media campaigns for some time, which managed to make Who headline news well past a natural point.smiley - ok

The media has always shown an out of proportion interest in Doctor Who. How often did we see 'Doctor Who coming back and it's Eric Idle' headlines during the wilderness years? Regenerations from Tom Baker onwards have always made the 6 o'clock news as well.

Mr. Dreadful - But really I'm not actually your friend, but I am...

Who (see, what I did there was...) can forget the tabloid announcement that "Bill Nighy IS the Doctor" on the day that Ecclescake was officially named.

There's gonna be a third series!

With a machete, usually. I've also got a copy of that day's Telegraph, which got it right.

Kerr - we're not speculating on anyone's BW theories - we don't know ourselves (even though seemingly everyone we know went to the BAFTA preview screening last night. They've all been under orders not to spoil it, but it was lovely getting a text from a friend last night that said 'fantastic - I'm still shaking'.)

Hoorah!

Oh, so the Grauniad is as up to date as Newsround, then?

There was also mention in this house of CE coming *back* for another series (can the Doctor ungenerate?) but I'm not sure on what authority that was.

No he can't 'unregenerate', but he can (and indeed frequently does) met his past selves. He's a time traveller, after all.

There's singing ... it sounds like either a choir of girl guides singing "ging gang gooly" or "Who's afraid of the big bad wolf" being played backwards. It might have been there before, but I don't normally visit sites with the sound on.
