And for those wanting more of the new Doctor, keep an eye out for him in the next Harry Potter film.

By the way, now the series is over, I'd like to move this and the spoiler thread over to the h2g2 Doctor Who group.

What, DT? Oh God, does that mean I've actually got to have something to do with the spotty little wizard? smiley - groan

I was only being semi-serious really, I understand that techniques have changed drastically since the 60s For a start, there was no such thing as months of post-production work to be done.

Troughton however was still a bankable actor.

1) No, it's an option if yopu are that desperate to see Dt in action. Itr is possible *not* to watch everything with a Doctor Who connection, or do you own a copy Ms Piper's warblings as well? smiley - winkeye
2) Potter isn't spotty. Small but important point.
3) The two movies I've seen are ok. Don't make me want to rush off and read the books or anything, but they are passable.

No, I can confidently state that I can't even name one of Piper's 'songs' let alone possess one.

OK, just get RTD to write the scripts and Eccleston can come round to my place and read them to me.

Funnilly enough they played one of iper's songs in the pub last night, to whit 'Honey to the Bee'. It was then and still is a pretty good piece of white pop with a soul/gospel feel.

Nope, means nothing to me. I shall pay more attention to pub jukeboxes in the future though, see if I can find one of hers.

I wouldn't bother unless it's that one. Most of them were dire. Honey to the Bee was the last single she did before marrying Evans, while it looked as though she was actaully going to have a 'serious' go at being a pop star.

Thing is, I'm going to remember that title, so I'll just have to randomly select Piper songs*.

*hopefully without ending up with 'Scottish pipers play the hits'.

She had three number ones, y'know, the last being 'Day and Night' in 2000, which sounds astoundingly like early Britney Spears.

Mm, I knew she'd had some number ones, but to be honest for me the charts tend to be uncharted, so to speak.

'Sounds astoundingly like Britney Spears'. This is supposed to be a recommendation, Jimster?

Being comparative, not subjective. It has a lot of those musical stabs that feature in songs like 'Baby One More Time' and 'Oops, I Did It Again'.

Deb

Wow! Wow! Wow!

I managed to avoid everything about the last episode so I was knocked sideways several times.

Just before they broke into the heart of the tardis it dawned on me what Rose was doing. She was, metaphorically "huffing and puffing and blowing the house down". Big blinding flash: "Oh, my God, Rose is Bad Wolf!". However, after reading the last 80-odd posts, maybe that view is too simplistic. But at the time - wow!

Then the kiss. I sat there going "Oh yes! At last! At last!" Shame she forgot it.

Then when the Doc said how it can be unpredictable, this process (can't remember his words but you know the bit I mean), it was another big blinding flash and I sat there and shouted at the TV "No! Not until the Christmas special! He can't regenerate yet!".

But of course he did and it was good and David Tennant will probably be excellent but he'll never be fanTAStic.

I miss Christopher Eccleston smiley - cry

Funnily enough, to tell you who is playing would be a spoiler. And I've given up on those. Oh yes I have.
