There are some ways to discover whether someone is a newbie.
At first they are signalled on "Who is online" by "new this week".
The best way to find out how long someone has been active, is going to their space, and look for the A-entry of their personal space. It will give the date the space was edited for the first time. In your case that would be A851159 and oct 15.
