if you had considered writing an Entry on basic bondage techniques?

Things like, the type of rope to use, or not use, and alternatives to rope. The best type of knots to use, and how to tie them, that sorta thing.

Maybe advice about using handcuffs, like you get what you pay for, and some cheap fur covered novelty ones are likely to break after the first use.

The kind of things that can be purchased from camping/climbing and pet shops. And 'normal' household items that can be used too.

Personally, I'd like to see a Guide Entry on bondage, I believe it is becoming more popular and widely used, and less 'taboo' and i beleive you are the ideal Researcher to write about bondage.

I don't mind you posting here at all. You probably couldn't post on my PS because it belongs to the Hub. You'll probably have to go to the Hub and try to post something on a forum to trigger the page that lets you accept the t&c so that you can then post there. I think trying to access a PS for the first time gives out the wrong info these days.

I have considered writing something on bondage - in fact I did start something a few weeks ago along the lines of what *not* to do. But I sort of had second thoughts and didn't finish writing it. I'm really not sure whether it's the sort of thing that would be welcomed - although as you've said you'd be interested maybe that's not such a worry.

I'm also bearing in mind that someone once wrote an entry on Testicle Cuffs and it was eventually removed from the site (you can still read it here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Testicle_cuffs - if you want to see it). It was removed because of the worry that someone might try it with alternative materials - such as an elastic band. I don't want the embarrassment of putting the Eds in the awkward position of having to tell me I'm breaking all the rules and removing my stuff!

If you think it would bring value to the Guide I'll upload what I've written when I get home tonight and let you see it. Then maybe as a volunteer you could ask on the mailing list about the subject then let me know if I should go ahead?

thought there was a couple written on the subject back in 2000, by lillith cookie that where held up in stassis for when they could be polished ,so why not find out where and update ,have you done a h2g2 search ,include unedited you may be pleased ,sure i have seen at least two informative articles around

I read the Testicle Cuffs article, hmmmm in a way I can understand why that got removed, it's sorta more into BDSM, where as, IMO bondage can be used with or without the BDSM elements. Though I think the excuse for removing Testicle Cuffs was a bit odd, there are many articles in the Guide that if you don't follow the advice *could* cause injury.

I'll do as you have suggested. Hopefully an Entry written to inform and advice those already practising bondage rather the promoting it will be ok,

logicus, I don't think you understand what this conversation is about. If I want to find BDSM or fetish sites via Yahoo, I know how to that, and where to find them. The h2g2 pages at the top of that page are PS's not Guide Entries the rest are totaaly unsuitable for a family site check out the <./>HouseRules</.>.

I've just looked back over my pc files, and I wrote that back in October last year, so it's not actually the article I was thinking of. I thought it seemed different to how I remember - I barely recognised it as my work! It looks like the one I was talking about earlier I deleted - it started talking about those gifts you can buy in card shops - you know, the ones with a blindfold, metal handcuffs and a whip. I'll see if I can find that one and post that up too, but if not, this will have to do!

One of the reasons I thought h2g2 may be ready for a light bondage Entry was your link in Mikey's PR Entry for a rope bra, no one appears to have thrown up their hands in shock, or yikes'd the link (as far as I know) I replied and commented on it, sort of hoping that may encourage others to reply, sometimes people want to say something, but don't want to be the first.
