h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Out in the night darkness and gloom. Inward the silence like that
of a toom. Out in the gloom what did appear but a creature of darkness who knows no fear. Like a shot in the dark, a screem
in the night a fearful young lady half dead from fright. You rise to the accasion cause you wern't playing. You rush to arms to save the young lass. You reach out in thr night ,whilst you were in flight but all you could find was your trusty old knife. Of course it was a Buck but that was no luck because it wasn't sharp. so you had more balls than you did brains.So you ran through the night in hopes to mame the unearthy creature which has droped in from last night's late feature. A ring on the phone which brought to end your escapades with your creature friend. A young lady to ask "where the hell have you been". It seems you left her in quite a jam when you failed to pick her up from work. You hung up the phone when she called you a jerk.

Congratulations on an excellent prose poem which had mystery action some nice internal rhymeand believable stream of consciousness, all working wonderfully with a clear reality-check forming a great counterpoint at the end. Great stuff Like Baudelaire's prose poems without the drugs and without getting lost in the dream. Thanks for this, TK. It made my day. I really enjoyed it
