Ah, this article currently ends exactly where my knowledge of Bridge does.
I don't understand how anybody can ever learn this game properly. As a novice at it I have found it more or less impossible to have a proper game as everybody else is always really experienced and doesn't want to partner someone who has no clue how to bid beyond the first round. All I've ever got is an extremely upset partner who refuses to play with me ever again.
How the f**k are you supposed to learn then???!!!

A book, A computer game, a friend (the best way if available, or maybe a book is better for this particular purpose...)

Hoi, Dancer! What's your bidding system?
Orcus, you could try getting someone to help you through the game. Alternatively a bridge club may have a beginners' section.

Well, I don't play that much any more, as I have few people to play with, and when I'm online I don't /waste/ too much time on things other then h2g2 and I have verry little free time in general.
I use adAmerican bidding, but admit to "game forcing" when playing with my father.

Sorry, I didn't mean to shout at you, but if you could explain how that system works, I'd be happy. Y'see I only know ACOL.
Key: Complain about this post
