Can you give me the link to where Mark said that, so that I can see it in context please?

Hi Lucinda,
Oh my goodness, it appears that Mark made a mistake! Of course people can't use the complaints button on referred posts, but I guess you spotted that already Lucinda?
For all those people totally flummoxed by Mark's opening announcement, the initial posting in this conversation should *not* have included the following two words *[referred or]*. We apologise for any confusion this might have caused.
Mark's initial posting in this conversation should have read:
"If you have a piece of content *[referred or]* edited because of non-English content, and you would like to take issue with that decision (perhaps you have linked to a non-English site with a translation available, but the Moderator has missed it), then please use the complaints button (or 'yikes' button) to send a polite message to the Moderators. We'll take a look and get back to you as quickly as we can."
Thank you for bringing the error to our attention.

I realised that Mark had made a mistake. However, there might have been some alternative way to challenge a moderation decision if that decision was to leave something permanently referred, that Mark had forgot to mention. Mark might have been referring to the 'click here' link that resides at the right hand side of every conversation, moderated or not. Or perhaps there was some other mistake. It was difficult to guess exactly what Mark might have meant, so I thought I'd ask. Radical, I know.
Given that you have decided to allow no way for Researchers to challenge a moderator who leaves some material permanently referred, may I ask what the reason for that decision was?

Clarification. In Alabaster the relevant 'click here' link resides at the bottom of the page, not the right.

Hi Lucinda,
The initial announcement and preceeding conversations relate to content referred or edited because of non-English content. We've stated on a number of official pages that foreign language material may be hidden pending moderation. It would therefore seem to be inappropriate to allocate resources to a feedback service devoted to repeating a message that has already been clearly stated on h2g2. The decision to refer rather than fail foreign language postings was made by the community.
As you know, any other material that has been referred will either be reinstated, or failed and the person who has the material failed will be informed by email.
We're not planning to revise our procedures at the moment, but please do feel free to post your comments and we'll take them into consideration when we review the moderation process.

Thank you Natalie, Mina & Mark. I believe that all languages should be acceptable if translated. I am thrilled and now I can submit my writings in Spanish and French with translations. Something to live for...
