Sorry, Mrs V, I can't think what that word would be, perhaps you could e-mail it to me.
As for a word for a group of superheroes, they do traditionally form superteams. But for a collective noun, how about a pose of superheroes (not posse) or a spandex of superheroes.

Cool, that means you could travel back to before Supervillains commited their crimes. And then bite them.
I must admit that being a time-travelling German Shepherd is probably more usful than my wide hair powers.
