canada, aparently if you cut a hole in the ice to catch giddy fish the best thing to do is hit one of them on the head with an oar. it is a very bouncy fish and will bounce right out of the hole, and bounce around on the ice. then the best bit, all the other giddy fish will copy the one you hit and they'll start bouncing up and down. before you know it the whole shoal will have jumped up through the hole and you just need to pick them up.
