A Conversation for The Horror

There is hope.

I hear about the hundreds of people rushing to New York to donate blood.

I hear about how the different nations of the world have all been as deeply shocked by this tragic event as the US has, proving that love has broken the barriers of race, color, and ethnicity.

I hear about how people of all different religions unite and pray for the safety of all those affected by this horrible loss.

I see the firemen and workers desperately digging into the rubble to rescue anyone who might have survived.

And I read your replies, and instantly know that you care. That you'd even bother to stop and write a message of sympathy and friendship for just one person. You'd stop even to help one measly little person... It's amazing.

I have seen more love now than ever before, and you, my dear friends, are greatly responsible for it.

Thank you for being there when I needed you the most, and I'd like you all to know that you mean the world to me,
Yossarian

I believe that the one thing most of us have learned throughout history is that the basis of humanity is compassion and caring.smiley - rose

The terrible actions of a small minority are far outweighed by the love and understanding of the human race as a whole.smiley - cheerup

If you ever need to talk you know where to find me.

Y'know, I have this terrible urge to call you Yosser who was a character played bu Jimmy Nail in a Brit sit com... his catchphrase was Gissa job... so if that ever slips out you have my full permission to complain! smiley - laugh

Nah! I wouldn't complain. My nicknames have ranged from Yosso, to Yo-yo, and I kinda like the ring to Yosser. Unless, of course, this character that you mention is some sort of freaky septic tank cleaner. Or do characters like that only appear on American television? smiley - biggrin

You said it! smiley - laugh

He was a strong, direct character whose only problem was living in the North East when jobs were scarce... it wasn't so much a sit-com as a comedy with a good backbone. He was definitely admired by most of the British public. smiley - smiley

Well in that case, feel free to call me Yosser as much as want! smiley - biggrin

I mean, we've known one another virtually for a few months now, and I think it's safe to say we're friends, so why not make this move and start calling me by the name you get the most fun calling me by? smiley - smiley

I tell my mum I love her every night, but tonight's "I love you, mum," is specially dedicated to you, the editor of the virtual paper I attempt to write for, but more imporantly, my dear friend.

Goodnight, Shazz smiley - hug
