ADSL Price
Nemo Brown Started conversation Aug 28, 2002
Although ADSL used to be a very over priced service BT Wholesale recently dropped the price of the product for ISPs to £14.99 per month. This has meant that ISPs such as Openworld, Freeserve and Demon have been able to reduce their prices and ADSL can now be provided by some for as little as £22.00 per month.
As someone who works in the ADSL industry I can assure peopl that although the initial set up can be a little "painful" the service is infact excellent once you are up and running. Accessing the internet with download speeds of around 576 kbs as opposed to 56 kbs, if you're lucky can never be a bad thing. On line gaming and music downloads are now things that anyone can do happily.
It is a technology, still in its infancy but over time I am sure that we can see some serious reductions in price and improvements in the supply of the product.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
