BT Openworld

Bt openworld, as anybody who looks at the adverts in the sunday newspapers will know, is British Telecom's new venture, which has spun off a seperate company called 'openworld'. This company provides ADSL, a very fast (between 512kb/s and 2 mb/s) connection to the internet. Many people though have had problems with the service, due to the service being oversubscribed, with people waiting months for installation. The service also costs £40 per month for the basic package, almost twice as much as cable services. This being said, I still use the service, due to the stability and constant high spees, and the reassurance which comes with the BT name. The service has been highly criticised though, and BT are losing out by charging such high prices, and restricting the market by supplying adsl to only a few other companies.
