The Hawaiian shirt is a wonderful thing. You can't be too serious in a shirt covered with pineapples and ukuleles. Nothing is quite as cheery during long, cold, wet winters as a Hawaiian shirt adorned with volcanos, surfboards, and dancers.
And may I personally recommend wearing a Hawaiian shirt printed all over with the word "Aloha" when giving notice at a job? Sometimes one has to create one's own kind of job satisfaction.

That's a great way to give notice. If you have to do it by post, use pineapple scented notepaper and draw little palm trees down the margins.

Vip, what a great idea!
Hawaiian shirts are extremely useful and economical. I've converted them into throw pillows and other household items. They are almost always available in a variety of colors and patterns for very reasonable prices at second-hand stores.

forgive me but i am having a problem with...
hawaiian shirts cited as cheesy on a UK centric web site
and the fact...
emphasized by the all too inappropriate hawaiian state flag http://flagstore.flagsbay.com/images/Hawaii1.JPG
the fact that the UK was so instrumental in ripping the hawaiian people off
of their sovereign state
no changing of the guard for them oh no
they cant even have a polynesian flag
