Tea tech support? used leaves... disposal therof...

*giggles* I hated girly things, too, to an extent; bit of a tom-boy, but not entirely. But with Dollhouses I mean things that include more than the typical little-kid-stuff; messy dollhouses with tons and tons of detail (like a really cool little bar I saw at the Puyallup fair)... real-life types... kinds that are all for show, but also kinds that can be played with (and not just mommy and her babies and daddy coming home from work- gag me with spoon, lol). I would even combine the two- make tunnel-houses for my pet hamsters out back in the garden boxes (the ones not planted, approved by mom for use!), and other non-hamster-used ones for toy horses, or my plush mouse (started out in girly clothes, which I removed and replaced with jeans and a t-shirt- voila! Timothy)... hehehe. That kind of thing. Oh, I almost forgot- I have two tiny tea-sets (unfortunately the teapot spouts are non-functional; I was very disappointed)... no, wait, three. The third one is fully functional, though all the pieces are scattered around and probably dirty or broken... well-used, hehehe.

I used to have a minature tea set, but it was broken when it came to me. I've not seen it for years. Used to play with that though. Not much. Can't really remember it to be honest. I guess it'll be in the loft *some*where...

hehe... I wonder how many of the Dentonites used to have play tea-sets...

Hehe... that's an interesting though. Maybe Artur himself had one?
But it's not real, dammit, he's not real... can book characters have tea sets anyway to you think?

*giggle* Maybe *he* didn't have one, but I bet his sister did.

I wonder if he had a sister? I bet his people relationships would have been better. I reckon he was an only child.

No, he had a sister! In the book, after the world's been destroyed, he tries to make it mean something to him by thinking that his mum and sister are no more. I bet he had an older sister, and she included him in her tea-parties along with the dolls and teddy bears, hehehe.

My brother used to join in when I did my dressing up. He looks very good in a white dress, I'll have you know...

Hehehehe. I remember playing "dress up"... I don't have a brother, though. Just a younger sister.
If you think about it, Arthur having a sister (especially if it was an older sister) would be better explanation for how timid he is rather than being an only child.

I wouldn't say timid, I would just say more that his people skills are lacking. He somehow always manages to be the one person that annoys everyone. Though maybe Marvin gets that one.
But yes, a domineering older sister might have locked away his true personality...

Yeah, after I posted I realized "timid" was the wrong word. I hate the fact that I have a fairly good sized vocabulary, but still have trouble coming up with the proper word sometimes.
It must've been an older sister, 'cause I can't imagine him picking on a younger sister. Would be sad if it were a younger sister and she picked on him anyway... lol... but he's not *that* pathetic, so older sister just kind of fits in the picture.
