A Conversation for Staple Removers

The original version of this article was swimming around something like a year ago, and I tried my best to offer the Researcher assistance in completing something that would get through the then infant version of Peer Review.
Somewhere along the line the Researcher disappeared and the entry in tghe Peer Review area was relegated to the bargain bin. Having had such an interest in it I thought I could pick it up and run with it - a few months back. Now I've finally had the time to give it a go and have re-written about half and amended the rest of the original.
With staplers and surgical staples out there, it seems like we're low on removers. I may consider changing the name to "Office Staple Remover" as medical and carpentry versions are an entirely different ball game - and adding them in would lead to an article that wouldn't get past the 'short article' limits without the whole thing being split up again.
Anyway, this is a sh*tty first draft, as one esteemed writer terms the initial outpourings of a writer. Please tell me what you think.

As I know nothing about various staple removers I wouldn't be able to advise you on the title.
However, I really really like this entry.
Nicely random topic, well written
what more can I say!
I especially liked the Simple Summary of Form, interesting manouvere!
(hey, I'm easily amused OK!)

Random. Thanks.
I had a look at the description of how to emulate the staple remover - and made a minor adjustment to mention where the fangs are... it wasn't clear before.
As I said... thanks. And, obviously, thanks to the original researcher for making me want to pursue this topic further.

My favoured method of staple removal is to bend the two short ends so that they are at 90 degrees to the other part of the staple and then to pull the staple out. The ideal tool for this is one's fingernails. A scissor blade can also be used.
To me, this looks like a very well researched and nicely written entry on a rather obscure topic. Good luck!

More or less obscure than an article about escaping from the internals of a large sea mammal?
That aside... the point of using a staple remover is to avoid (a) physical damage to yourself and your fingers/fingernails and (b) to avoid unnecessary damage to the document (e.g. nasty scrapes from a bleeding pair of scissors).

I'm outta my timezone. They keep moving things as soon as they notify me, giving me no chance to post before the move.
I'd like to make some comments, making the point that this was accepted one day before it was supposed to be, but I can't really properly phrase it. (Hey! I just did!)
Anyway, congratulations! This entry has been accepted for inclusion in the Edited Guide. The author will be e-mailed with the new entry (A) number when the sub-editors are through.

Ooo, you need to rephrase that bit. It sounds like it's from a script or something... Is it from a script?
Thanks for the heads up... I have, however, been watching very keenly. I think this one went through in a week from when I picked it up... which was nice. It's like the old days when I wrote a lot more.
I'll have to try getting out more to see if I can urge myself into writing some more mindless trivia.
