I like do it yourself projects, so this article appeals to me... what exactly do you mean by "compress the bottles" at the end? try to use more specific language especially when describing how to keep something from "exploding".... other than that, thanks for the recipe....

Hiram Abif, I have taken your advice and edited those bits of the entry so they now make more sense.

some technical stuff: the unordered list works better if you split the tag into two components and wrap them around the list items:
This is an item
This is another
You could link to the entry A593363, How to Make Elderflower 'Champagne'. The methods involved seem to be quite similar.
Apart from a few words about how the stuff tastes and perhaps any side-effects (Elderflower makes you sweat) would come in handy, but these are only minor points. I'd say it's ready for the Guide

I have a ginger beer plant!
I used bread yeast instead of proper beer/wine yeast, as it was all I could get hold of. It's not quite as good but evolves over time. Other than that the recipie is pretty similar.
Nice entry!

The explosion bit is really important - when I was young one bottle exploded inside leaving a sticky mess. the other bottle was place outside (in the sun - in hindsight NOT a good idea) and when that exploded it sent glass thru the open next door neighbours upstairs bedroom window.
Either drink soonish after bottling or don't try to make it too alcoholic, if you add too much sugar in an attempt to make a serious strength brew you really are moving into the realms of homebrew.

Not to be picky or anything, but just for the sake of grammar, you might want to divide the first footnote into two sentences. Right now it happens to be a bit of a run-on.

And also, in the second paragraph of the section regarding the creation of the plant, there should be a comma after the first clause; In the jar.
But other than that, I have to admit that this is a fine article. Good job.

Sounds good enough to drink. Nice article. Easy to follow. Think I might have a go.
You've spelt sugar "suger" in the first paragraph. Sorry, but that's the only criticism I have

A fine entry like this, it was bound to be recommended by someone soon. I just happened to take the initiative into my own hands...
Which I guess makes me a very special person. Isn't that just special, Frankie (who I'm about to be interviewed by for the post)?

i have looked everywhere for an alcoholic ginger beer recipe.... it is a great tradition in my family to have non-alcoholic ginger beer around the holidays... so i have always cherished the taste...
this recipe seems great. i have already bottled some. it is in 4 plastic milk jugs... 2 full gallons and 2 half gallons... i will bring it out for parties.
i did wonder tho, what % alcohol is in the final product? and how much lemon juice too add? i used lemon juice from the bottle and hope i didnt use too much.. so if anyone squeezes lemons for their batch, please measure and tell how much juice... THANX A MILLION
