How are tricks?

Yes I know what you mean. I did think of posting something here a couple of days ago, but frankly I couldn't be arsed at that moment to trawl through the pages and pages of threads looking for the right place. I guess we've moved on from here, what with us both using MSN Messanger instead. A shame, as I liked this place.

Well I am not a happy bunny at the moment. My PC is totally f**ked. I was installing Freeserve broadband yesterday and as a part of this I had to install IE6.0. Well as I was doing it I had a power cut at home and I've lost huge chunks of my CONFIG.SYS files and the Windows will not start. At this point I then discovered that the "care package" I had taken out with PC World doesn't cover this sort of problem as they don't know how to sort it out. Apparently all they are trained to do is put new bits of kit in the box and give it a bit of a clean.

The company's software helpline were helpful (but at 75p a minute you would expect them to be!) and they told me to find an independent PC contractor who can sort out this type of thing. Well my sick little PC is there at the moment and I won't get it back until next week.

So, you ask, what I am doing here? Well of course I used the opportunity of having to come back into the office (for real) to pick up some bits and bobs of work as an excuse to go back online. Now what is the betting that I will find some much more trivial reason to have to come back at least twice over the weekend as well? Pretty damn high!

Sounds like you need a good and your computer needs a good . I hope the person who is fixing it can get it back to you before I am next at home (Friday night of next week)

I kinda like it here too so I guess we could use it in those rare moments when we are not both online!!!

I woke up early and the Gosho's are not up yet so I thought I would just pop in here since I will have about 12 hours with my book today ...

What are your plns for the weekend (apart from frequest visits to w**k)?

I really don't know what I'm going to do over the weekend. I can'r spend my whole time in the office, that would be just too sad. As the weather is starting to clear up a bit, I expect I'll take a reasonably long walk along the seafront at some point. Apart from that, not much.

Oh, and I've done some work since I got here. I opened my office e-mail and found something that looks suspiciously like a virus, so I've alerted IT.

We had rain here yesterday - I guess getting me ready for coming home

We have the radio on at the moment and there is a guy doing a phone in during which he seems to be trying to fix peoples cars Only in the US!

A little pissed will make it seem like a normal weekend then

I did enjoy the game. I watched it in my local Irish supporting pub just around the corner from home.

They were desperately unlucky to go out. Ian Harte should have scored from the first penalty and if not Kilbane should have completed on the follow through. If that had happened they would have won 2-1 in normal time.

During extra time the Irish were all over the Spaniards. They had four forwards on to Spain's none. And almost all the play and pressure was in the Spanish penalty area. Even after all this you would have tipped the Irish to win in the penalty shoot out with all those forward players to choose from. Sadly it didn't happen.

Penalties seems such a mean way to go out - particularly when it goes agains the run of play like that

So what else has been happening in your world?

I've been doing a lot of work in the office as I've a number of deadlines coming up. (Although maybe not a lot by your standards perhaps.)

At home I've been watching large amounts of television and reading a lot of books, whilst waiting for my PC to be fixed. Monday is looking hopeful...
