Can someone explain the last half an hour of the end of evangelion, it did'nt seem to make any sense to me, or why Shinji killed the only other survivor of the third impact???

Even people who did think it made sense may well not have found the same sense in it as others who thought it made sense. Eva never did go in for clear and definite explanations. Or for strictly logical progression, really.

Actually, objective sense is a bit of an occidental (and more specifically Anglo-Saxon) concern anyway; quite possibly Gainax were more concerned about how End of Eva would make you feel than about what it would tell you; more about what it means to the viewer than about what it means in an objective, linguistically declarable sense.

Allegedly the 'official answers' to some of Eva's mysteries are buried -- and I emphasise that word -- in the PS2 game 'Neon Genesis Evangelion II'. (I don't know of any plans to release it outside Japan.)

What I dn't understand is, if everyone wanted third impact to happen, why did'nt they start it off in the first place and forget all that stuff about the angels!!!

If I find time to rewatch End of Eva, I'll get back to you.
