The comment about no sequal to evangelion is not strictly true. There is a srtong rummor that Gainax is working on a prequal that explains the run up to the second inpact and how the origional eva's were created using adam as the base line...
I think this would be kick ass 
One thing I have to say about the end of evangelion is that it was a total mind trip. I loved it but I thought it was a bit bad how Misato died
