tartaronne: >How old is your first-born JCN?<
I'm sorry to say that I don't have any children, not by choice though. That's why all the fine print in the membership application didn't seriously scare me. I talk big, but I'm really not much of a gambler.
So lacking any kids of my own, I've tended to become an "honorary" dad and granddad to a few youngsters along the way, much in the same way as my dear Danish friend was an honorary grandfather to me. Sometimes when the magic works those can be the best kind, I've found.

Do you have room for a couple of more teenagers in your parcel for JCN, there, Hati?
JCN, I'm sure you are a good honorary parent. Most kids need an adult besides their parents to guide them and to try out their own or their parent's viewpoints on. (Sorry about the split infinitive ) Sometimes it is a football coach, a teacher or a friend's parent - but an honorary parent can only be a trustworthy person.

Hati: >*starts to pack her kids*<
What I'd intended to say is that I'm really a crap honorary parent ... not the sort of influence you'd want for your little darlings, I'm sure. Basically disreputable, undependable, unstable, lacking couth, culture, etc. Maybe we should be rethinking all this, for the sake of the darling kiddies, of course.

Hati: >Haa! I knew it! You are afraid of teenagers!<
Do you know anybody who isn't? If you answer "no" then I rest my case. If you answer "yes" then I've got an idea of where you could send the little darlings!

The answer would be "yes" to Izzybelle and "no" to JCNSmith. However, you can't be possibly more afraid than I am, so you'll get them all. Mine can do dishes and peel potaoes.

Maybe I could come live with you?! My behavior might be not much worse than that of the teenagers, and I'm not as much trouble as a cat or dog. Can go for walks by myself, clean my own litter box, etc. Something to think about, anyway.
