P is booking the flight, even as we squeak; do we need your booking number; so he can request a seat next to me?
I'll have to stay overnight in Dub (probably with Aye Bee
wench) on the way back Sunday, buses are too close to the landing time, not clever with my dodgy legs & probably full of German bier!

has contacted me. She is planning on coming but can't get into hootoo at the moment with the new sign-in, and also it seems that her e-mail programme is playing up and she can't guarantee that e-mails to and from Gnomon and me are getting through.

OK, now I'm REALLY excited.
Not that I don't want to meet the rest of you, but TC and WS were about the first people I ever spoke to on here. By the time of the meet, I think TC and I will be around a month shy of our tenth hootiversaries (if I'm not much mistaken, that is)

Unfortunately I won't make the German Meet 
The prices for flight tickets are just horrendous, and it would cost me almost twice as much as going to London in May.
Hope to make it another time.

Our date of 24 April coincides with the opening of the Maimarkt which is a very big event in Mannheim. This is a huge fair for tradespeople from saucepan-makers to roof-tilers, who exhibit to home-owners and the general public at large. It is a must for people like us who still need to do things to the house, and we shall probably be going there, even if it is quite exhausting, traipsing through those halls and collecting freebies, trying food, talking insulation and gardening techniques.
I thought I'd find a page in English but they don't seem to have one. Anyway, I don't recommend we go there!

I'll probably have my netbook (with webcam) with me. If we can find a free hotspot it would be technically possible to do stuff.
But... how? (I mean - I have MSN but I don't have Skype, for example)
