Kalevala is the Finnish National Epic - I've gathered so much research material *looks at pile of print outs and books and sighs* that I think I need to split it up...
Current thoughts:
1 entry on Elias Lönnrot, the author (he did so much more than 'just' write Kalevala)
1 entry on the epic itself, describing its importance and impact on Finnish-language literature, its contents, its influence on various people (including Tolkien) and so on...

It would be good to have something about Sibelius - esp. the Kullervo symphony and all the other Kalevala-related works.
*sings*
Kullervo, Kalervon poika / sinnisukka aion lapsi / hivus keltainen korea...
(from memory, probably wrong)

Yep, Sibelius will be mentioned among those that the epic has inspired - and the painter Akseli Gallen-Kallela, and J.R.R. Tolkien, and Don Rosa (there's supposed to be a Donald Duck episode in Kalevala setting)

Hi Titania
Mina looks after the University and she is currently out of the office. She is back at the end of the week - I will point her in this direction.

I've added you to the project pages, although to the news ones rather than the old ones. Hopefully the re-launch will happen before the end of your project.

Does that mean I can't see it on a project page until the re-launch - or am I just being confused as usual?
*thinks of the print-outs in her back-pack but decides not to do any more research tonight*

Yes, it's not going on the old pages - I was doibling up, but it got too time consuming. If you want to see it, then you can find it via my Personal Space, click the picture of the computer, and follow the links.
We're going to try to get the re-launch done very quickly now that the projects are only going up on these 'hidden' pages, otherwise it's not very fair. I was doing some work on them yesterday, and had a long chat with Jimster and Natalie about getting it going asap.
