I should have the new questions ready by the end of the week smiley - smiley. Yes I know you've heard that one before. I'll really try. smiley - planet I have the last question to do. Although I should have that done, by the end of the week (tomorrow maybe) smiley - aliensmile I won't be able to put them up right away. First I've got some adjustments to make so that these questions are dealt with but the old ones still can be accesed (I don't know what happened with the spelling there). More smiley - tea. That should only take a couple of days depending on how much my job makes me smiley - zzz even with black smiley - coffee. Once the old questions are in the ready, I'll give them there adjustment and put in the new ones.
This may all sound a bit wierd smiley - alienfrown but I can assure you I'm trying not to give anything away smiley - sadface. Don't even think about it, I know you like surprises smiley - smiley. Also this is one astronomy since that's all I have rather than theory smiley - martiansmilesmiley - marssmiley - moonsmiley - star
I then have some smiley - tea and see if you want to give me any suggestions. As for the rings, I've put in what information I can and I'll update it as and when I can.
It was my birthday smiley - smileysmiley - gift on 20th October, I now 22 (last year I was half way to 42) and I recived an asset. When my sister's boyfirend had his 21st (1st April) I bought him a space encyclopedia (spelling?) and was really jellous (spelling?) since it was really GOOD smiley - magic and I really MEAN it smiley - aliensmile and so my parents bought me a copy so I'll be well on the way from the smiley - moon to the structure of neuton stars. From looking at smiley - stars to the fate of the Universe. smiley - martiansmile I'll have it done soon. I'll look up the last answers tomorrow (I hope) and after I've had some smiley - tea to stimulate my mind.

I was just having a read. If anyone is really interested in my books let me know. I give people things to read and don't get a lot of feed back.
A couple of weeks ago I spent almost four solid hours writing something and asked someone to read it. I had to ask for feed back and the feed back was 'yes'.
I spent four years (not solid this time) writing a book and for the last four or five years I've been trying to get people to read it and so far only TWO have read it all the way through smiley - sadface.
I'm writeing lots of books. Some are science fiction by not all. One is science fantasy. I'm also doing short stories.
I used the write books without a plan and just keep going until I ran out of imagination (spelling?). Now I plan them. And even further I plan them all before I start. Which means before I start I get good ideas so I get them down and they become short stories that can be entred into the book at the correct time.
I'm planning an interesting short story at the moment. It's tricky. It think the story can be quite effective however there is a theme below that makes it work but the theme is rediculous (spelling?) and I've spent quite a few unsuccesful hours trying to improve the theme.
Have I wettened anyone appitite yet?
I can send extracts. Ask Shanana I think it was who I gave two. I didn't get any feed back though. Anyone fancy reading the short story (that I may make longer) 'The Spirit of the Winter'? It's almost ready. I have to think one more time and then get it down. Maybe you can help with the introduction that is the rediculous bit. I'd like a look from both sexs on that bit. Don't ask. smiley - blush

Not yet smiley - sadface but them only one has been finished. That one will have to be rewritten becuase it's not very good but I have most of the ideas to improve it. Plus I need to change the ending to be a bit more positive. I'm sure I have your E-mail address kicking around somewhere so I'll give you a small appertiser for that one. I'll give you a list of names and the ones I'm working on and you let me know which you're interested in. I'll start with the completed one.
Asteroid City.
Asteroid City : In Andromeda.
It'll Work With The Distance To Be Irrelevent.
One Small Step For Woman.
Unnammed - refered to as Beanstalk.
Unnammed - refered to as New Book or Lair-Dr'co.
The Spirit of the Winter - if I lengthen it.
The first two are science fiction. The next is science fantersy. The next two are science fiction and part of a series. The next will be my masterpiece and the last is a short story will wide opening to become a book. So put you feet up, pour you self some smiley - tea, get a biscuit, make sure the smiley - dog is on your feet to keep them warm, make your self comfortable, download the E-mail I'll send later and ENJOY. smiley - smiley Becuase when you smiley - smiley so does the rest of the universe.

Might as well start and the beginning and work my way through. It's difficult to decide without a blurb and a funky picture on the cover. 8)

I think my address is mentioned somewhere earlier in this conversation. smiley - winkeye

I'm a bit weary about giving away whole books so I'll do what I do with everyone. I have a part of the Asteroid City that I really like and it a miniture (spelling?) story in its self. So I'll send you that, along with the background of the characters just to fill you in and see what you have to say. If you like it, I'll find something else to give you a taste of. If you don't I'll go to the patent office and register Bad Science Fiction as my invention. I'll send you it either tomorrow of today (later). Maybe today BEFORE I've had some smiley - tea! Can you belive that's possible. No? Neither can I. I'll at least put the kettle on. smiley - smiley
smiley - alienfrown + smiley - tea = smiley - aliensmile
me (smiley - smiley) + smiley - tea + my smiley - dog = smiley - magic
No sufficent smiley to show me after that and you reading my books.

Could I request that cool sounding tasta section to be sent on the 30th? I'd love to read it but have exams that I really must concentrate on (and there not to do with space so I couldn't class that as revision)

Cheers. How long have you been writing these books then and has anone done any fancy cover graphic work (I'd offer if you like)?

Also the article for the egic sound good so yes please! Just send it when your done. Thanks,
Nick

I'm going to have a glass of milk, a read and then sleep.

I think bad science fiction was invented a very long time ago. Plan 9 from Outer Space for starters though I'm not sure if bad science fiction has ever been patented. 8)

The 30th. Okay that sounds good. I'll have it ready then and maybe a few more. I've just today written The Spirit Of The Winter and although that's not science fiction I think some people may like it. It does take place about 400 years in the future just after the Earth has been saved. I may need to do a bit of work on it. I dosn't sound quite as good as when I worked it out in my mind.
As for the cover work, I've tried to do some pictures but I'm not very good. I can send you some if you have PowerPoint '97 of later. I've asked some people to do illustrations just to see how they imagine it. Only one person has so far. That was only two black and white done about six or seven years ago before it was finished. They wern't designed to be anything I could use so I greatly accept your offer. There are a couple I'd rather not have illustrations for although they will need a cover but Asteroid City and Asteroid City : In Andromeda and Beanstalk are ones I'd like illustrations for.
Lastly I've just started an OU course in Astronomy and Planetary Science. My stuff arrived yesterday. Let's see how well I do. There are six observation projects so clear skies would be great.
Lots of smiley - tea will help. smiley - scientist

I think in our Solar System there are a few good candiates for life to be found. The best is on Earth, then there is the oceans under the ice of Europa. There is also beleived to be liquid water under the surface of Mars which could indicate life. Life could also exist in the clouds of Venus, quite high up the temprature is similar to Earth's. A relatively new theory that came through is that there could be oceans under the surface of Titan and also life.
Are we really alone? If we are contact life we still feel alone due to the distance of the stars but now our own Solar System could have plenty of life, who knows maybe our Solar System could have more life than any other Solar System in the Universe. Think what Extra Solar Inteligent life form would make of that!?!

Is there life out theresmiley - aliensmile. Has it visted ussmiley - ufo?
If was here a billion years ago there would have been no one worth contactingsmiley - moon. Right place & time.
Maybe there is lots of lifesmiley - martiansmile. Out Solar System could be like to roundabout a Barnard's Star smiley - starsmiley - ufo. All they have to do it check out our atmosphere and detect radiation form nuclear explosions. They'll move on and make a detour on the way back. smiley - martianfrownsmiley - peacesignsmiley - alienfrown
What about hostile lifesmiley - monster. Unlikely, we have to discard our links to our reptilion ancestors and get smiley - peacesign on smiley - earth before we can move outsmiley - rocket. The same has to be true for other races. Klingon and Romulans are unlikely to become space faring, Vulcans however are likely. What about the Borg, they seam like the Daleks smiley - tardis and the way they do things is different. As for Ga'ould in Stargate, they used the Stargates left by the ancients and they need to go to other planets for hosts.
