So a line with slope = infinity is not a line? Thus a line can not be vertical? I would add that in, mon frer.

Yeah, I know...the guide entry is worlds behind. I'm just too busy to get to it...but I will!

Any yes, a vertical 'line' would have a slope of infinity (change in x is zero, you know the limit). So, it is correctly referred to as an asymptote.
