Fishing
Why give a man a fish, which would feed him for a day? When you can give him a fishing pole and teach him how to fish, which would feed him for a lifetime.
I ripped off this quote when I was sixteen years old. And I've been using it ever since. But the underlying meaning still remains.
I'm not sure if 'the guide' is a fish or a fishing pole. Though I am sure that it is a step in the right direction.
Happy fishing!

I suppose that I should elaborate on myself a little.
Following a childhood filled with a torrent of emotional, spiritual, and illegal influences, I left home for college. My background includes bachelorette degrees in Mathematics and Philosophy.
Following college, I worked as a projectionist and then manager at a 20 screen movie theater. It is arguable that I reached the epitome of my life at this point. However, in an attempt at reaching fulfillment, I moved on to a more scientific career.
Since then, I've worked as a robotics engineer, research scientist, and then as a robotics engineer again. I know, that was quite a small and boring circle of efforts. However, in the process, I've learned a formidable amount of biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, and programming. Kind of funny for a mathematician who would rather be sipping beer and arguing ancient philosophy.
Which brings me to my biggest hobby - homebrewing. There is nothing quite like creating your own beer. I would highly recommend this to anyone who appreciates the finer qualities of this divine beverage.
Other than this, I enjoy reading (both fiction and non-fiction), movies, and games of all sorts. I would rather be outdoors than indoors and would consider myself to be a fairly active person. Live entertainment and driving my car rank among my most favorite activities. If I didn't have such a feel for where the police are, I'd have been in prison over ten years ago.
Well, that about wraps it up for me. Live fast, party hard, and never forget that there is a boundless amount of knowledge to be had by all.
