"No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God."
Luke 9:61-62

Never heard that one before. smiley - bigeyes
I bet it goes down a treat with those in agricultural (crop) circles.

Or is the plough a euphemism for that which others, ie: the eunuchs, have lost by natural design, assignment or self mutilation. If so, then 'looking back' really is a confusing concept, lacking as it does any other object for retro-vision.

The whole episode seems full of explicit or disguised sexuality including the references to celibacy. As such it has obviously contributed much to the history, evolution and present disarray of the church.
