A Conversation for Redemption
Knights Templar

Once, long ago in my youth, I was a "Junior Mason". In their terms, I had been accepted into the Order of DeMolay. Jacques DeMolay was, as I recall, was one of the Knights Templar, probably their leader. The KT were apparently a virtuous lot, since as a member of the Order of DeMolay I was expected to revere them a bit.
Since this was all long ago in my youth, and since I've long misplaced my Ritual (the book that contained all the text, which we were expected to memorize and recite during our meetings, which described all the wondrous deeds the Knights Templar accomplished) I can't very well tell you who they were or what they did.
I can only suggest that their deeds were, in the eyes of White Christian Prospective Businessmen, noble indeed.

Are you at liberty to say what happens at the meetings, or would they find you and cut your nose off?
I only ask because I'm very interested in the many different groups that sprang up from the Rosicrucians, who had sprung up because the link was broken when the secret was supposed to be passed from England to France.

I don't remember all that much, it was many years ago. And I don't remember a thing about the Rosicrucians. I kept my Ritual until a few years ago, but now I can't even review that.
We were essentially "Junior Masons," so I expect most of the talk was very similar to what Masons talk about in their gatherings. All that I explicitly recall is that we revered the memory of Jacques DeMolay, and we felt the Knights Templar were Good Guys.
As might be extrapolated from this posting, I didn't apparently fully absorb all this. At the time, it was something like being a Boy Scout, but without the campouts and knots.
