When I was younger, I never got what I wanted cos my parents don't love me 
but I did complete my friend's, and she was so annoyed she threw it at me!

So I could put it together again in the right order! 
Of course, that turned out to be more difficult than just solving the puzzle...

I had a mini one and a normal one (bought in a charity shop for fifty pence a few years ago!) and I have borrowed a giant one - had that a few years 
My brother had the cylinder and the snake (which didn't do anything),
and he went through a few normal ones.
I pulled mine apart a few times too. Cheap fakes got all loose though.
I only solved it properley once but got it to one wrong facing square a few times
I am suuuuch a saddo...
