St. Andrew's Day in Glasgow?
Mister Matty Posted Oct 6, 2003
Of course, we should all make our way to the Insomnia pub at some point as even on a Saturday night there are always seats available (including sofas), the drink isn't pricy and there's never a scrum for the bar. Oh, and there's a distinct lack of overly-loud music, shirt-men and slappers. Hurrah.

But they ain't the same any more. Not been in the new version yet and it is very close to where I live, so I'd be happy.

Good question!
The old Insomia was excellent, they did the best pancakes, but the new one's not so bad either

I'm afraid I would come over a bit like the Dad from Mary Whitehouse Experience.

Tch, you risk having membership of the SRG revoked for not knowing when St Andrew's Day is!
It's November 30th, but that's a Sunday so the meet will be on Saturday Nov 29th. We are kind of planning a mini meet this weekend though, somewhere down the bottom of F73037?thread=327892

You can count me out of any "dancing" because 1) I can't dance and 2) I hate clubs and refuse to spend £8-odd for the pleasure of staggering drunk into some oxygen-starved room whilst terrible music is played too loudly and shirt men get into fights with each other or try and pull blonde bints. The best fun I had at the last club I was in was "spot the amusing lookalike".
Still, if enough bad-dancing men come to this meet we can sink this silly idea
