St. Andrew's Day in Glasgow?
$u$ Started conversation Sep 30, 2003
Tracey mooted this idea at the AT meet, for the weekend of 29/30 November, to celebrate St. Andrew's Day. A little pre-Christmas get together. Atari also pleaded for a daytime meet outwith a pub so that he and other younger researchers could join us some time.
Any ideas folks? Date okay? Daytime activitiy options? Evening meeting place?

Sounds good to me. Glasgow is a good place as it's easy for me to get to.
Weekend of St. Andrew's day is good as it's just after pay day.
I'm thinking LaserQuest (if they still operate in Glasgow) as a day-time activity... (Hopefully we'll get there in time this time around *cough* *cough*) I promise I'll wear a white T-shirt in there so I'll be easy to spot.

I'm sure me and FC who may well be working in Glasgow at the time could sweep through. Maybe even drag an new Architecture student away from Strathclyde.

LQ sounds good. White t-shirt and one hand tied behind your back? And a blindfold? That should put us on an even footing I reckon.
Was someone late last time? Wonder who.
Can we arrange somewhere to meet up beforehand that... *dramatic pause* ...isn't a pub? *watches as a number of Scots fall over... not uncommon, but there's no drink involved this time... yet* Assuming any younger researchers wish to participate.
Well Jamie... how about a page then for the... um... SAD GIT?!? *St Andrew's Day Gathering In Town*
Put me and my kilted companion on the list.

St Andrew's Day is a Sunday - and I'm going to be in Glasgow anyway, 'cos I'm going to see Radiohead then!
so I like this plan

I did send Jamie a text about this, but he never did get back to me!
But I'm up for the meet, definitely!

I'll probably be up for this. I was planning on an earlier Glasgow meet, to be honest (I suppose a mini-meet might still be poss.).

*removes hat and throws it into the ring* I'm in!
Of course, we should probably have a mini-meet beforehand to discuss the details of the meet itself...
Er...... can somebody please retrieve my hat?
