Herrrmmm....
What the heck??!!
FG Posted Aug 30, 2001
Was someone trying to get Dylan tickets? I saw him last spring here in Missoula. I was very disappointed. Musically, he was great. As far as personality...he did not interact with the crowd at all, other than to mumble hello. I think that's an important part of any live music show--charisma. Dylan didn't have any that night. Keb 'Mo on the other hand is GREAT to see live.

HErrrmmm.... now I feel better.... but Dylan mumbles while he sings, so he may have been addressing the audience while he was performing...

Very true, D.
Irv, I thought you'd get a kick out of the game. Maybe you should check with GL and see if you can be in the next one.
FG, I hopw you and Red get to come down! It would be so cool to get to meet you both!

GOOD MORNING, Gw7en!!!
Hey-- are we in need of a location for the meet!?? Or do we have one!?? Herrrmmm.....
What the heck??!!
Irving Washington - Gone Writing Posted Aug 30, 2001
I especially like Johan's thread.
What the heck??!!
FG Posted Aug 30, 2001
Who's this Herm you keep mentioning? Anyone I know?
I don't know if you're ready for *both* Red and I, Gw7en. That takes a strong constitution and a willingness to put up with a lot of squabbling, immaturity, and goofiness. And that's just on my part....
As far as the meet...why not the Pepsi Center? Maybe we can play with the Avs!!!!
Avs 11, Researchers -7, with three in the penalty box
What the heck??!!
Irving Washington - Gone Writing Posted Aug 30, 2001
Keep in mind that some of us are not old enough to get into bars.
What the heck??!!
Gw7en, Voice of Chaos (Classic) Posted Aug 30, 2001
Morning, D. Isn't the weather perfect today? I hate being stuck at work...
Which Johan, Irv? That way I'll know where to start reading after the game all over.
FG, I'm sure that I'll have no problem with both of you. After all, Marv survived it.
Hmmm... I like the idea of the Pepsi Center - although who would end up in the penalty box?

oh, yeah, ditto, irv.
some of us aren't yet able to get into 18+ clubs, but will be by the time the meet rolls around...

Yuppers! I think the ghost hunt/walking tour of Morrisson would be a blast. Its a cool little town, anyway - and we can go to the bar where the Avs players hang out - but learning the history and hearing the stories make it even cooler.
There's even a haunted theatre.
Also, I was thinking that we could stop by Pints Pub - no worries for those too young to drink. Its a great place and serves good ol' pub food. And we'd have pub pics to post up like all the UK meets have.
Then there's the museums, the parks, the mountains in general, the aquarium, the zoo... No end of things to do.

WOW!!! The ghost hunt sounds AWESOME!!! VEry unique-- and we could learn something!!!
FG-- Hermmmm... is a nod to Hermes...
Gw7en-- YES!!! A LOVELY DAY!!! All I have to do is teach guitar and attend some cheesy bakery meeting(I'm going to clock in so I get paid for it!!!).
If we have the meet-up at the Pepsi Center, that means we'll be VERY CLOSE to my school!!! YAY!!!
What the heck??!!
FG Posted Aug 30, 2001
Ooooooo s? I love s!!!
I'd like to go where the Avs hang out, too. Do they (you know, the mysterious THEY) give an Av away as a souvenir? Cause I have a nice little niche in my apartment where I can mount Joe Sakic....
What the heck??!!
marvthegrate LtG KEA Posted Aug 30, 2001
You do not get to take away my forward for your mounting my dear. We need him at center ice a-winning games.
Let's get together in an all ages place then we can do what we like. But this time Gw7en I want to go to a bar and have a real drink My last two vacations I managed only one drink per trip.
Oh Ya, Opening night party at my place Oct 3rd for the first hockey game of the season.
What the heck??!!
Gw7en, Voice of Chaos (Classic) Posted Aug 30, 2001
Well, I suppose that depends on how nicely you ask Them...
So, that's a positive response for Morrisson then. If you want to read more about the walking tou, I've got the link on my page. You can read all about it.
The leaders of the tour (Dee and Beaux) told a great Avs story. They went up to Morrisson the day after the Avs won the Cup this year and went to the bar they hang out at up there. D & B were getting drinks when they saw a guy in an Avs jersey, wearing skates, playing a game there. B turned to D and said, "Look, that guy thinks he's a hockey player." A little bit later, the guy turned around and it was Podien! He hadn't even changed out of his uniform yet.

Now I'm insulted. I kept trying to get you drunk, Marv, and you resisted me. What do you mean a "real drink"? Wasn't that gin and tonic big enough for you???
What the heck??!!
marvthegrate LtG KEA Posted Aug 30, 2001
The real drink comment was from when I was in denver. I had a beer. That G&T at teh Depot was great. And as for trying to get me drunk, I felt it not nice to drink heavily in front of abstainers.
