This is a pub I had the pleasure to eat and drink at many times when I lived in Southampton.
It is pretty legendary in the area and is even highlighted on some local maps (amazing for an individual pub).
I hope this article captures its essence and also gives a few hints as to other tourist attractions in this area of the New Forest.
The article is also linked to the current edited entry on the New Forest and I think compliments it.
Tell me what you think

Sounds great - I don't find myself in that area often but if I do I shall certainly try it.
From a purely practical point of view, it would be useful to know how you rate it in terms of pub/resturant food prices (I realise an actual number will be out of date quite quickly) and whether it will take cards as well as cash (again changable, but then what isn't).
Otherwise - See you there - mine's an !

Good point - As I recall the Sodbasher was about £10 - so pretty reasonable in fact - the Hobbler Hock was about £6.95
I'll put a sentence in.
In terms of the card question - I simply can't remember - it's about 2 years since I've eaten there

...sounds like an ace pub I am just here to tell you the drill from here on, but I reckon you know it well enough, so just stopped by to say congratulations

I'm just dropping in to let you know that I'm subbing your excellent entry. My copy, if you're interested, is at:

At this point, if you have any changes you'd like to make, just let me know. I'll probably only have it for another day or so, but even after that, it's quite easy for me to tug on the italics' sleeves about anything. Anyway, thanks for the great researching, and I'll see ya around!

Congrats Orcus :)

Cheers GTB - very gracious of you to post this
Apart from the link at the end can't see any changes really. So nice job.
Great researching? Took me about half an hour this one - just a pub I used to love really. Still thanks anyway. Just stop by there if you're ever in town
Orcus
Congrats Orcus :)

Link at the end... Oh, yeah! *That* link at the end.
It's not really gone, of course; I just tossed it in the references section, so it's hanging out in the margin. So, I'll just give the entry one last proof and send it along to the italics now! It'll soon be in the queue for the front page, which seems to be kinda long these days
