How sad that the absence of a classical education means that appropriate terminology is seen as gobbledygook by the sans culottes

There's a flibble and a wibble
And a gibble (quite a few)
There are pibble and a snibble
and a phibble (found in dew)
but the Kibble and the Ribble are for real
(i'm sure you knew)
when you look like a duke
and have fallen in the glew

I like the idea of using the tune to "Modern Major General".
I'll second that nomination for song of the month. It's better than my song

There's a flibble and a wibble
And a gibble (quite a few)
There are pibble and a snibble

but the Kibble and the Ribble are for real
(i'm sure you knew)
when you look like a duke
and have fallen in the glew
That's a flibble and a wibble
and a gibble yes it's true
I need a towel smiley

C'n I second that nomination?
The quality of the reworking cerainly has more Boom than I gave it (one more actually ) and has a greater understanding of the angst, anguish and pain of the truly towelopaenic

Having a problem here guys
I can't get the lyrics to scan with the modern major general
"A Policeman's lot is not a happy one" now has much more promise particularly with the reworked "Boom Boom Boom"
Cummmmm oO...On youse guys

Actually I'm not using Modern Major General. I just accent every third sylable. Except for the booms of course they each get an accent. I can't remember where I got this tune (probably in a commercial somewhere) it scans well for me.
