Elvis Costello

Well, for those of you who do not know me, I love Elvis Costello.
And I also have an amazing knack for being involved in situations that go terribly, horribly pear-shaped at the last minute.
What this means, when you put the two together, is that I have three tickets for the Elvis Costello concert tomorrow night.
It also means that one of the fellas I bought a ticket for has bailed at the last minute.
So, excuse the late *late* notice, but anyone interested in going to the Elvis Costello concert tomorrow night ??

I'm in the wrong city!
I missed the gig here yesterday, on account of feeling dodgy; it's lucky I hadn't bought a ticket in advance...
If it wasn't for the travel, and the cost of travel, and the unpleasantness of flying with dodgy lungs... well, then I'd be seriously interested. At the moment, though, I think an impromptu interstate jaunt might be tempting fate....

Then perhaps you should ignore the email I just sent you
My main concern was how well you'd be able to fly when you're still a little under the weather...just remember if you suddenly feel fantastic tomorrow morning, and find out they're doing return flights for ridiculously cheap amounts of money, it's still there
Well, it is now anyway

I didn't ignore it...
But really, the only serious obstacle is my health. Last time I had pneumonia, I flew three times before I was diagnosed, and it was absolute agony. (I had no choice - it's a long story.) I can't bring myself to go through that again.

I wouldn't expect you to, sunshine
You just concentrate on getting better, and I will love Elvis enough for two people if I must

I still wish I could make it, though...

Oh Lord
*swoon*
Two and a half hours of one of the greatest bands of all time...even the boy (who is not a fan) was getting into it at the end
I was doubly glad because my fave cd at the moment is "this year's model" (I go through phases) and he played "Pump it Up", "(I don't want to go to) Chelsea" and "No Action", so I was an extremely happy camper

I am glad you had fun, and I expect it's a bonus that the boy did too. I still wish I'd been able to get there, of course, but never mind. One of these days...
