"sugar and spice and all things,
thats what liitle girls are made of"
while little boys are made off
"slugs and snails and puppy dogs tails"
what dreadful things we teach our children

I have been given a link to a piece of prose written by a Brazilian writer on a website called www.opendemocracy.net, entitled Thank You Mr Bush. Read it if you are interested.

I agree Platypus - we really should teach them useful things .... like how to mix a good margharita or martini
All my nieces and nephews could mix a simple cocktail by the time they were 12

...Shrillian... Posted Mar 25, 2003
Wow....I tried to skim through these posts, but with my name popping up so many times, it got quite confusing! So I've read the posts, and this is what I have to say...
Pond & Linus - .........
Feisor - I'm with you. I think the cream would be a good touch. Although I'd have to try the different variations of course to find the perfect combination
Platypus - I agree with you that most times I don't enjoy mixing my drinks with milk and so forth (ie. baileys and kahlua) but in cocktails or certain shots it can be nice.
a curry shot? Scary...and an Indian Shrillian...well...all I can say is it has to be good...

Whee, topic drift again - What's everyone doing on the weekend after Anzac day or the weekend after that? (26th April and 3rd may respectively).
I ask because I have one virgin South Australian researcher-lurker visiting me at around that time (hopefully), AND I have a Prince Charming who needs to be converted to the way of the Hootoo.
Any takers?

Sounds good - I should be back from SouthOz by then and I may just manage to get along to another meet (yes Linus I know it will only be my second )

At this stage you can count me in - do you think if we bulk order Shrillians we can get a discount??

Actually, I think I might be washing my hair.
Mind you, I plainly have to show you uppity Colonials what an inferior offshoot of the Empire you really are by the application of insanely alcoholic cocktails.
And someone PLEASE take responsibility for Not Letting Me Dance.

Don't tell me there's trouble in paradise.
Rugby season will have started by then, which means i would probably be a bit late at best and very late at worst, depending on where the game is

No trouble. Just surprised. I knew he lurked, but I didn't realise he'd registered.
And it's better late than never, Linus

Does that mean there are times when you are sober??
Feisor - one of me is more than enough...ask my parents!
We will have to try 'me' at the next meet...speaking of which - I can't make it on the 26th...but the week after's fine! 3rd of May?
That's my vote...
