I've recently completed this Entry about a classic computer game released on the old Commodore Amiga. Basically, it was a 2D platform game with the best graphics around, that totally revolutionised the genre it was in.
Go take a peek. smiley - smiley

Nightshade, Guardian Angel and Grey Lady

'The principal of multiple lives was' principle?

I've never seen or played this game, so I'm not really allowed to comment, but it sounds brilliant. You might want to check the Guidelines or House Rules for linking to sites where you can download stuff. I'm reading a book on MP3 at the moment and legally it sounds really complex, so check that out.

One suggestion:
h2g2 has an edited entry on the good old amiga that you could reference.

Ok then: 'The idea of lives was...' smiley - winkeye

I may not keep the link to the resources, though I was thinking of asking Towers for some info on it.

Thanks, Ste. I'll have a look for it an put in a link. smiley - smiley

Woohoo! smiley - biggrin

I only hope I made those changes before a Sub-Ed takes over and makes a copy. For the record, I added a link to the Amiga article, and replaced the word 'principal' with 'idea' where I talk about multiple lives.
I kept the links to the offsite content, as it appears to have got this far without having them removed, though I shall comply if it is deemed necessary. smiley - smiley

Someone You Know(GrandHighMaster Of All Things Unsanitary And In Need Of A Good Clean Before The Neighbours Come Round)

Hey there Prof Tonks! I'm Someone you know (or at least the half known as Big Bad Bolshevik Bob, I share an account with a freind). I am a scout and am guilty of the crime of recommending your entry to the subs smiley - winkeye I am happy to say that my reccommedation has been accepted and the entry shall be under review from the sub ed's very soon. I don't think a copy has been made yet so any minor changes you've made of late will go through (although what the sub's will do thereafter is anyones guess smiley - smiley).
I myself am highly impressed with the quality of your article and am motivated to find out more of this game of which you speak.
In short congratulations!

You may be guilty of this crime, but all charges are hereby dropped. smiley - winkeye

I've made all the changes I want now, though I'll be happy to recieve comments and suggestions from fellow Researchers, if they have anything to add. smiley - smiley

Hi Prof. Tonks!

I'm just subbing your entry and have come across the links to your offsite Flashback page. Unfortunately, as you're linking to material that you don't own the copyright for, we do have to remove that link for the Edited Entry. The links will, of course, remain on your original entry.

Regards,

Jimster

Hello there! smiley - smiley

Ah, so it's finally being edited, eh? 'Bout time too. smiley - tongueoutsmiley - winkeye

I didn't think there was a problem with the content I linked to. It's on my own website after all. Still, if it must be left unlinked to, then so be it. smiley - smiley

I noticed it's been out for a while, and I'm not sure why it came back in-house so can't comment, but it's been edited now and can be found here - A663464.

Thanks again,

Ah, excellent! smiley - smiley

Where on Earth did that Nintendo 64 link come into it, though? smiley - erm

I think that was added by the sub because it has info on the older Nintendo consoles. It's a bit tenuous though, so I've pulled it. Hope that's okay smiley - smiley

It's all fine. smiley - smiley Just couldn't see it referenced anywhere, so thought it was a bit odd. smiley - winkeye

It was hidden in the references between the Body and the Guide tags.
