Have you ever been on a blind date? How was it? How did it come about? Was it good? A disaster?
err, yeh, several.... All it has to be said as a result of err waht I'll call 'online dating'... Some worked out better tlhan others...
Have you ever been stood up? Have you ever stood someone else up?
Nope... supprisingly....
How long is the right time to wait for a 'date' to turn up before going home with your tail between your legs, metaphorically speaking? They might just be fashionably late, after all.
It'd depend... if I was meeting htem in a bar I'd stay till the bar closed... I mean, like you'd never know, even if they didn't show at all you might meet someone else 
Do online dating services make things easier? Or do they just add to the general complexity and anxiety of the whole thing?
I think it makes it easier to get the 'first date', and certainly through the whole online thing its err how'd ya say... easier to have a ... 'string of first dates'...
Is there something to be said for arranged marriages?
Yes. There is something to be said for arranged marages. I'm not entirely sure what it is that is to be said for arranged marages, Asides that I'm still waiting for someone to arrange one for me
One of the ... potentially most 'disaster potential' dates I went on was very weird... 
(I really don't know why I'm being so koi as if I'm trying to preserve my dignity, as far as I recall my dignity went out of the dinwo some time around the turn of the centuary...).
Well... It was a 'date' that came to be via an online ... kind of dating site... Anyhow, I think I may have been at fault for failing to notice exactly* which online dating site the initial point of contact had come through... as I turned up for the date... All tidy and my hair washed, clean knickers and* socks... the works like... and. well.
I was a little supprized when the guy I was meeting on the date turned out... to not be a guy
Luckily though for me at least it wasn't such a big deal that it was a girl rather than a guy... We saw each other on/off for nearly a year I think, though it never got overly serious
