A Conversation for Sea planes

Logically speaking, a seaplane as described "like an airplane but passing through water rather than air" is what is more popularly known as "a boat". Or a "submarine".
Curiously, although the term for a machine which passes through the marine environment is called a submarine, airplanes continue to be called airplanes and not, more consistently, subaeros.
Personally I would say that seaplanes should instead be called "floatiplanes" and conventional airplanes be called "wheelieplanes".

I'd like to take the opportunity to point out that this man has absolutely nothing to do with me whatsoever.
Thankyou.
