Ganders @ H2G2
Well then, having been harrassed by my dear lady wife about the fact that I've never got around to updating this once too often, I thought it would be a good idea to put something in here...
Well, I'm a software developer by profession, and a web-surfing, Quake & Everquest-playing geek by night. All in all a fairly typical Guide Researcher I guess - the main difference between most of me and the majority of everyone else around here is that I can't do all this at work during the day :-)
I first read Hitchhikers probably 15 years ago, and fell in love with both the paper book and the concept of the Guide itself. You'd have to admit that this place is a perfect example of how the Guide should work - the editing is certainly fairly chaotic, and the entries are informative (well, sort of!) and entertaining. Hopefully I can help to expand that collection of entries.
Until then, well, as you can see below I've stuck my oar into a few discussions, enjoy them (or at least tell me why you hate them if you don't enjoy them :-))

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
