Control language and you control the people - just a touch Orwellian. But then, is it actually *possible* to have a politically neutral language?

That was meant to be Esperanto, wasn't it? - only it was based almost entirely on European language values and grammar systems.

I thought it was just meant to be a common language - I didn't realise it was meant to be politically neutral too...
