I am not 100% sure, but I heard a few years back on tv in an other way. I think I heard on Australian soap "Neighbours" or "Good morning with Anne and Nick" on BBC.
I like it a lot and wrote it down. I used before as yahoo! club, but I deleted that club, because no one then me posted there. after I introduced ('99) it some one registerd as domainname for sale, but untill now no one bought it.
I hope it is orginal.

Ecalpemos is just someplace spelt backwards! Though it definitely sounds (to my mind, or to my ears if you prefer) built from "escape" and "galapagos", kind of.
Oh, and the study of insects in "entomology" with an o. So "entymology" should be more the study of where insects' names come from
