Hello! How nice of you to visit me here. Sorry It took me so long to reply. I don't come here every day.

How are you?

I am so enjoying the audio facility on MW! You have a n amazing voice and it enriches the enjoyment I get from your beautiful work.

I am being a bit reclusive lately. Huddled inside in front of my pc.
Had set myself up for a day of catching up with the garden but my daughter just rang and asked me to go over and be there when the social worker comes this afternoon. Now I feel guilty for getting that sinking feeling in my stomach which comes with having to face up to her problems instead of burying my head here in the safety of home.

I deasrly love her and my grandson but the whole child protection issue of the last year due to her drug taking has exacerbated my depression and exhausted me. I have to fight pretty hard for her and will continue to do so in the face of a lying social worker. I sit and research into other cases and government policy and ring up people who are supposed to have made remarks about my daughter according to the SW. I find that she has fabricated these convertsations!

I feel selfish though when I get irritated at the interruption of my plan for the day and then guilty, which makes me mad and then guilty for feeling mad.

Sorry. That all came out in a rush!

I am recharging my batteries is all, thats why I wanted some quiet time. Just finished stage managing a play and another coming up in a few weeks. 'The Crucible' Husband and youngest daughter in it so a bit of a family affair.

Hey ho then. Suppose Ibetter go and get dressed and get ready to go out. Grandson, Stan, has seen a treasure chest box and wants to go and spend his pocket money on it after he comes out of infants school at midday.

Listening to Radio Kent. My local radio, at the traffic jams. It sounds awful. Glad I don't drive. Go everywhere on the train. I love stations. Food for many poems about the strange characters who can be found there.

This a link to my local town. Thought you might like to have a look.

Be well, be happy.

Stage Manager?! On top of all that? Where do you get the psychic energy, woman. Listen Ali, that little squirrel wheel you described: want time alone to snuggle with self and doodle around, get call from daughter, agree to change day, feel angry, feel guilty, feel angry about feeling guilty.....faugh. Listen ma'm, you are accompanying your loved ones into the belly of the beast, and aaalll that draining thinking is, well, that's all it is, a mental storm of story-line added ONTO the real things you do. O I'm just a wee wee practiser myself, sometimes I do a little sitting meditation, JUST FOR RELIEF FROM THE MIND....the same stuff is all there when I open my eyes, but all that draining thinking stops, just for a few minutes, or at least there's spaces innit...just that is rejuvenating....boy, I admire you though, you walk the walk for your family...
and AHA! THAT explains the link I got lol....good one, I forgot why you'd be sending it to me...
anyway Ali, yes, sometimes we all need I think, time away and down, or quiet, or just playing, day dreaming, noodling, so I hope you get some to yourself soon.

Hi Lynda. What a difference a week makes. Thank you, truly, for your words. I appreciate the fact that you gave some thinking time for me!

This week seems to have been different. I've been calmer, Grandson is doing so well at school it's lifting all of us.
Had quite nice cosy breakfast this morning with hub and youngest daughter.

I love the autumn. It's still pretty warm here. Met my son for a pub meal yesterday about five thrty pm and we sat outside to eat in the market square in front of Canterbury cathedral, October usually means raincoats and boots!

Not sure what noodling is but I am thrilled at the idea!

Love

Goodness me.............time has a habit of sneaking these vast tracts of months in when you turn your back for a moment.

Hopefully there will be some new shoots in the garden soon and it will be warm enough to start sowing my seed potatoes!

Fingers freezing and shoulders hunched against the chill in my little office room today. Smell of garlic chicken wafting up the stairs. Saturday lazing. Love it. Reading the paper and greeting friends with coffee and bread pudding. Putting off to Monday what did not get done by Friday.

No nasty, worldly business or bills can reach me at the weekend. Shut the world out. Leave pancking about clean shirts and school trousers to sunday evening and chill lady!

Latest thinking from the good old NHS. orgasms are great for kicking the endorphins into action to block pain. Ok, there is a good excuse for an early night. My arthritis is killing me, g'us a good seeing to, there's a love. 'parrently it keeps ya wrinkles at bay too. Wow, cheaper by far than botux! Weel, that and sardines .........omega three......hmmmmmmmmm a quick how's yer father or a sardine sandwich................

hope you are all keeping well.
