I hope this shop doesn't just sell frills & furbelows young lady, I'd like a good, strong pair of sensible bloomers please. Black serge, knee length, strong elastic round the legs and with just a hint of a pattern of Spring Onions if you please!!!

Errr...
*trying to estimate sizes since the numbers could as well be Arabic to him*
Hmmm...
*points to a jade green decidedly frill pair with turtoise motifs*
Could I have those, please -- and I'd like them giftwrapped, too

Thought I might team the sequined knickers with this mirrored eyeshade thingy and a gold lame top and then go and sit at centre court and wait for the English sun (there is such a thing isn't there?) I want to see how many reflected flashes I can give off before the players start complaining.

Yes I am feeling a bit of a rascal this morning. Listening to early Louis Armstrong and you cannot be blue listening to Satchmo.

Went to a Jazz thing on last night in London and there was guy who did the most incredible Louis impression you've ever heard ...
Thought I'd died and gone to Devon ...

Ekki there is a great American website called redhotjazz that has loads of early Louis recordings on it, plus Benny Goodman, Bix and both Dorseys...
There is loads of good stuff on it - so much in so that rarely bring in CDs now. I recommend it highly if pre war Jazz is your thing.
