The Anti-Establishment Establishment

Otherwise known as the Unorthodox Orthodoxy or
the Counter-culture Culture.
It is fashionable to be unfashionable. Millions of dollars, yen, pounds, euros, and rubles are spent every year who want to join in being unique. Thus states the fellow with the ponytail and the beard who wears cuto-off jeans, cross trainers and graphic t-shirts. He even wears glasses. He doesn't wear jewelry or rings, doesn't have a tattoo or any piercings that weren't inadvertant. He plays a guitar, owns a copy of 'Finnegans Wake', buys books about Aikido, and draws way more than any rational person should. He writes unreadable novels, unsingable songs, and poetry that makes dogs run yelping away.
So, what could this fashionably unfashionable person fashion in the way of commentary on other people's new-fashioned version of old-fashioned rebellion in the counter-fashion fashion of fashed-out fashion victims? I think he just did.
