I didn't 'get' the first paragraph but apart from that I love this entry. Maybe just a teeny bit more on model making.... or perhaps a title change "Matchbuilder - A Gentle Introduction to the History of Matchstick Modelling"

Is Match-builder a registered trademark?

Feel free to disregard and congratulations on your style

Hello not-so-balled-eagle, Thanks for being bothered to read and comment.

Sorry, the first paragraph was intended as a "joke" with timber and biblical conotations. Maybe it didn't carry.

I agree, the bit about the model-making could be expanded just a tiny amount. I'll see what I can do.

I can't agree though that the title should be adjusted. Matchstick modelling came first. Matchbuilder came second. The gentle introduction is Matchbuilder, not this entry. Savvy?

Don't know if Match-builder is a registered trademark. What should I do if it is? Or isn't?

Anyway thanks. It's been good.

If it's a registered trade mark, a little ® sign should suffice.

Bald indeed. Beg your pardon.

How do I do the R thing? And code for an ampersand would be useful, please. Thanks.

Nice work Mister Trout smiley - ok

The only thing I'd say was noticeable to me on the first read is the sense I got of spiraling in on the object but not quite exactly landing on it. The last paragraph is 99.999 percent there, but I want to see myself in the picture - am I holding a pair of tweezers? do I need a knife or razor blade or something sharp? must I be entirely sober? You know, that kind of thing.

smiley - cheers

There you go Messrs Not-so-bald and Pailaway, a tad more explanation on how to do it. If I go into any more detail, I fear there'll be more information than in the actual instructions.

Brilliant, Mr Trout. smiley - applause

This brought a smile to my face and conjured up a vivid picture in my imagination.

I'm inclined to say 'Don't change a thing', but I confess that if I were writing it, I'd have renamed Colin as Dierdre.
