Thinking of their live shows. What about mentioning that Gedge always seemed to wear shorts on stage. I don't know if that was a long term trade mark, but he was always in them when I went to their gigs around 1989-1990.

David Gedge as a sex symbol? I suppose he wasn't bad looking (in a gruff kind of way) but did those shorts really help? Trainers, shorts and a long-sleeved t-shirt - not the archetypal vision of lovliness, is it? And as for his little bum wiggles during Kennedy ....
