GB, maybe you'd like to end the quote, the one which end with footnote two...maybe put in a fullstop and quotation marks?

Thanks everyone.
Added a bit about the flag and the fountain.
Altered the spelling mistake and added quotation marks.
Anything else?

It looks great to me! I wasn't a fan of the Princess, but I think that your article is very well balanced, with plenty of sympathy for Diana but a fair presentation of the facts. I think it would make a really good Edited entry.
Good luck!

GB, perhaps you'd like to mention somewhere that flowers were placed at Buckingham Palace for her in the shape of a dove (I'm not sure if this is true but that's what we saw on TV coverage over here).

If that's the case then it's probably not true.
You might like to change the date in the title somehow because it looks like she was princess of wales from 1961-97 rather than that being her lifespan. Maybe you could put the "Princess of Wales" bit in brackets or something.

Also, there's a sentence (I don't care if I spelt that wrong ) which seems incomplete somewhere...."No flag on the mast of Buckingham Palace to fly at half mast"
Either it's incomplete or whatever or I just don't understand it

OK.
I have taken the date out of the title and added it to the first header which is her birth name.
I have reworded the sentence Niwt, and also added a couple of explaining about flags and the monarchy and royal protocol. I hope it reads better now.
I just hope no-one says there's too many footnotes now

A small blemish. The protection squad was not withdrawn after the divorce. It was available but Diana declined to avail herself of their services.
Moral of the story? If she had retained the readily-available British security service then she would be alive today. The Brits would not have allowed her to travel in a car driven by a drunk.

Um.
I will have to check that.
I understood that she lost the priviledge after she was stripped of her HRH title.
I will change it if I am wrong

As the mother of the future King she retained all her former security priviledges.

...eventually, within the Royal Family, Diana would have held the same position that the present-day Queen Mother currently holds.
In short, she would have had all the same rights as the incumpant, despite the loss of the HRH title.
That's one of the reasons she was given a State funeral.

I emailed James Whitaker, of the Mirror, who is a royal correspondant.
Diana did dismiss her Royal Protection Squad.
Thanks, Loonytunes, for pointing out my error.
